Kentucky 9/12 Receives National Recognition
What an amazing weekend; one filled with inspiration, excitement, and restoration. For us the night before was extra special. Words can not describe the humbling honor in the national recognition that Kentucky received. The Kentucky 9/12 Project received national attention with the ‘Constitutional Defenders Award for individuals or groups that have gone above and beyond in educating, protecting, or upholding the Constitutional principles’. We shared the stage with only 3 others award recipients, Glenn Beck, Yvonne Donnelly, and Katy Abram. I was truly honored and even more so humbled that we were recognized in the company of these people of true honor.
At the same time there is a strong since of pride and understanding why Kentucky was singled out from all of the 9/12 groups from around the nation. We are the innovators and inspirations for so many others. So many times we have become the trend setters and the model for groups to follow. We have many successes such as Vacation Liberty School, Candlelight vigils, local meetups, organization of national events, and countless other pioneering programs and events.
As I said in the interviews I did later, this is a testament to the great people of Kentucky. This was not any one individual’s award, but we share this honor and acknowledgment. This is to everyone that has worked with us or behind the scenes waking their neighbors up, laying the foundation or principles and values, and educating others of our heritage and where we are going. This was as much you as any of us. My sincere tears in accepting this national award was with each and every one of you standing behind us.
Thank you,
Eric & Lydia Wilson
