The 9/12 project
MISSION (No Our Duty): to provide a forum for individuals grounded in the 9 Principles and 12 Values, and to foster an environment to inspire and empower Self-Governing Leaders through the process of education, independence, sacrifice, with a firm reliance on Divine providence.
History tells the story of two groups of people, those who are prepared and those who are not. Too often, those who believe in and want freedom are not prepared for its execution. The period of the American Founders stands out like a beacon for this simple reason. Great leaders came forward that were prepared for the challenges, made a plan for freedom to survive, and gave their lives executing it.
Today there is a critical shortage of George Washington level leadership in the world. While it is true that God sent and prepared George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and others for their mission, it is also true that our world will yet face challenges bigger than those faced by Washington—and God has reserved and is now sending the Washington of our generation to meet and overcome those challenges along with the George Wythe to mentor and mold them.
The 912 Project is a truly grassroots organization founded on a core set of principles and is one of the most inspiring movements in America today! What has always made us unique is we are not about changing what is happening today but providing the foundations to change tomorrow. The strongest message we should have is personal responsibility and our focus is unwavering to empower the New American Founders and Self-Governing leaders in marriages, families, churches, communities, and our government; through a renaissance of ideas and enlightenment.
MUST REMEMBER WHO WE ARE: The founding fathers were not a tea party or political action committee but a preservation committee. For restoration and long lasting preservation of our republic citizen must be men and women of virtue and educate themselves and connect at local levels. It is our beliefs that as Americans prepare and read the classics and learn from the past they will recognize and practice the duties and responsibilities to be the statesmen of tomorrow.
YOU WILL BE THE KEY: Knowing personal responsibility is a more diametric opposite to socialism than even capitalism can claim, that level of responsibility is at the heart of KY 9/12. The new vision of leadership’s strength is from introspection, personal development, and empowerment. We believe and encourage that leaders of tomorrow may be achieved through self-education, self-reliance, and self-sacrifice.
You are not alone; we are here to empower and help forge the future Jefferson, Washington, Adams, or Madison that may be among us today. Today holds the beginnings of greatness - you are the key!!!
The 9 Principles
1. America is good.
"Love your neighbor as yourself and your country more than yourself." Thomas Jefferson
2. I believe in God and He is the center of my life.
“The propitious smiles of Heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right which Heaven itself has ordained.” from George Washington’s first Inaugural address.
3. I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday.
“I hope that I shall always possess firmness and virtue enough to maintain what I consider to be the most enviable of all titles, the character of an honest man.” George Washington
4. The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority, not the government.
“It is in the love of one’s family only that heartfelt happiness is known. By a law of our nature, we cannot be happy without the endearing connections of a family.” Thomas Jefferson
5. If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it.
“I deem one of the essential principles of our government… equal and exact justice to all men of whatever state or persuasion, religious or political.” Thomas Jefferson
6. I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, but there is no guarantee of equal results.
“Everyone has a natural right to choose that vocation in life which he thinks most likely to give him comfortable subsistence.” Thomas Jefferson
7. I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.
“It is not everyone who asketh that deserveth charity; all however, are worth of the inquiry or the deserving may suffer.” George Washington
8. It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion.
"In a free and republican government, you cannot restrain the voice of the multitude; every man will speak as he thinks, or more properly without thinking.” George Washington
9. The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me.
“I consider the people who constitute a society or a nation as the source of all authority in that nation.” Thomas Jefferson
