Restoring Honor Rally - Perspectives
On 8/28 an estimated 750,000 to over 1 million people gathered at the steps of the Lincoln Memorial to honor our heritage, honor or soldiers, and honor our heroes. Themes of faith, hope, and charity resonated throughout the Restoring Honor Rally highlighted the beginnings of the great American experiment of freedom and a faith in God that makes nations that seek Him strong.
This was not a tea party, it was not a political rally, it was not about the color of our skin but it was about the content of our character, it was about Restoring Honor.
This weekend we came back together to see that we are not alone; and left inspired and revived. Although this was not a march or protest either the sound that you may hear is the steps of a movement that will not be held back. From this weekend we have begun the next steps to Restore Honor, Restore Our Churches, Restore Our Family, and Restore Our Communities.
The media really doesn’t know what to make of this weekend and to be honest it may take a few days for everything to settle in for each of us as well. There has never been an event like this before on the Mall in DC and most likely will never be another again in our lifetime. It was 2/3 church service, 2/3 military honor, 2/3 history lesson, 2/3 heroes, and 100% inspirational. There was honesty of who we were and are and a calling for who we should be. For those that were not there, you may never understand what this weekend was, for those of us that went we may never forget what we shared.

I was so glad to take my ten year old grandson, Hunter to this rally and He and I were blessed to be with so many like minded Christians.
I attended the Promise Keeper Event held in Washington, D.C. so many years ago too.
These two events were the largest collective spiritual events I have ever attended. Both had the central theme to call us back to Him and to give the ultimate Honor to Him.
The Holy Spirit was there in His Glory and anyone who is truly in the family of Jesus Christ could testify to that truth.
I told my grandson that he is only to bend his knee to the King, King Jesus.
It was an experience I'll never forget. I wrote more here: http://www.meetup.com/Informing-for-conservatism/messages/boards/thread/9648710#37408865
