Kentucky 9/12 Project wins against the IRS

After almost two and a half years of fighting for our legal right for our “tax exempt” status as a non-profit corporation, the Kentucky 912 Project was notified yesterday by the IRS that the organization is indeed exempt from Federal Income Tax under section 501(c) (4) of the Internal Revenue Code. Ever since the IRS first overstepped their authority and challenged our organization we responded with a bold and defiant statement of we will not comply. This become a rallying cry and KY9/12 help lead a national coalition to fight and to protect the rights of our supporters and similar groups that were also being targeted.

All of the work and support of many many of you have paid off with this announcement and finally making our non-profit 501(c)(4) status official. Also we owe a huge gratitude to Jay Sekulow and his staff, particularly Miles Terry, at the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ), without whom we could not have afforded or been able to wage this fight. Thank you everyone!!

Finally once again we know we were not standing for KY912 or ourselves but we were standing for you, standing for liberty, and standing for principles. Before you congratulate us we are asking that you please consider thanking and support the ACLJ and their efforts in representing us and similar fights like this. http://aclj.org

It is our belief and hope that our victory today will pave the way for other liberty groups around the nation to replicate our success.
