Liberty Groups Under Attack from IRS – Update 3/21

When we first received the letter from the IRS like many of you this mixture of fear, panic, and despair came over us. We have always been prepared for the other side to “come after us” but nothing really prepares you for when you see the letter addressed to your home from the internal revenue service. Continuing to run through emotions it quickly turns to anger and defiance when reality settles in and you realize what this is about. Finally and most importantly you begin to fight back and take action because you understand you are not alone.

It is each of you that have motivated me to stand on your behalf. A few days ago I sent out a request with no idea what kind of response we would get. Thanks to you we have what I need to go to DC and even a little extra the Kentucky 9/12 Project will put back for the next time I will be going. Thank you so much for your generosity. Even more special though was the support. I can not begin to tell you what your personal letters and help means to our family.

Yesterday we received the response from the Kentucky 9/12 Project’s letter to the IRS and it pretty much said they are not backing away from their attack. On the same day we received 6 letters from friends and patriots saying we are praying for you and keep going. These letters brought Lydia and I both to tears and we would like to thank you for such overwhelming encouragement and reminding us again we are not alone.

From Lydia and I both, we would like to once again thank everyone. Thanks to you I will be going to DC in the near future to represent us and continue this fight. More than that if we could express the level of encouragement we received in travel miles we would be able to take a trip around the world…

Update on the trip and some big developments.
I just wanted to keep everyone informed of every development. I know and feel in my soul as well now that you are part of this and we are all going through this together.

I guess this is normal, but I have never worked with Congress in this way before and frankly I almost lost what normal is anymore.

Due to unexpected scheduling issues on their side my Washington DC meetings have moved to April 18th when Congress will come back from Easter break. Part of me believes they are getting out early because of the crowds coming for the Health Care Rallies but that is my developing cynical side. Either way there now appears to be a new conflict for Friday so the meeting will happen and there was no issues in transferring my ticket to a couple of weeks from now.

In discussing this change with them they let me know of other new developments and some huge news. Unfortunately I hate doing this to you but nothing has been finalized and the only thing I can say is - wait. This will be a big development and they believe they will be able to make it public in just a couple of days. I will say it is connected to my trip to DC and it is because of efforts and a push from people like you.

There are others that continue to come out on our behalf but more importantly on behalf of citizens and on behalf of you. This fight is still far from over, but for now take pride in what you have already accomplished and thank you again for what you are doing.
