Richmond, KY, July 4, 2011: The Madison County 9/12 Project is pleased to announce a Town Hall meeting featuring State Senator Jared Carpenter of the Kentucky 34th Senate District and Congressional Candidate Andy Barr of the 6th U.S. Congressional District. Senator Carpenter represents the people of Madison, Rockcastle and Lincoln counties, while the Kentucky U.S. 6th District include Franklin, Woodford, Scott, Bourbon, Clark, Montgomery, Estill, Powell, Madison, Garrard, Lincoln, Boyle, Mercer, Anderson, Jessamine, and Fayette counties. Meeting is set for July 14, 2011 at 6:30 pm at the First Southern National Bank building, 894 Richmond Plaza, (corner of Berea Road (US 25) and the Eastern Bypass (KY 876)), Richmond, KY 40475. The Senator is a former EKU graduate and basketball player and is currently a loan officer and farmer. The Senator’s presentation will concentrate on Kentucky state financial issues but all subjects are open for discussion. Mr. Barr will be addressing issues of national concern and will be available for questions following his presentation. The public and press are invited to attend.
