Up the Creek but with a Paddle

Thousands of wounded warriors return home to Kentucky after fighting for our liberties. Surviving the war is only half the battle now days for these brave men and women. Many have a greater need for rehabilitation so they can continue to heal physically, psychologically, and socially. This is what TRR is all about and this is why each 9/12er needs to support this program and be part of this event if you are available.

This is their first Fundraising event to introduce Team River Runner Lexington to the community. They have invited us to find out about their wonderful organization. There will be food, music, a slide show, and a chance to meet local members and volunteers. We encourage 9/12ers to attend if you can because this will gain exposure for their program and help give back to the veterans an provide them an opportunity to find health and healing.

Team River Runner (TRR) is a partner of Disabled Sports USA (DSUSA) and Wounded Warrior Disabled Sports Project.

Team River Runner (TRR), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, gives active duty service members and veterans an opportunity to find health, healing, and new challenges through whitewater boating and other paddling sports. The benefits of TRR have as much to do with creating a social network and support system as they do with learning water sports skills that provide an exciting adventure lifestyle that suddenly seemed lost due to injury. The program also encourages family members to participate whenever possible.
