Boston Tea Party
By Wendy Peay
I am basking in last night's victory in Massachusetts - a state that Obama won by 25.8% (61.8% of the popular vote compared to McCain's 35.99%). What a difference a year makes!
When we marched on Washington they called us an angry mob. When we showed up at townhalls all across the country they called us racists and political terrorists. When we defeated them at the voting booth in New Jersey, Virginia and now Massachusetts they point fingers at their weak candidates and blame Republicans for being obstructionists. They refuse to believe that Americans do not want a far left (and might I add, radical) agenda. They don't understand that we are mad as Hell at these politicians who for the last several decades have spent and borrowed this country to the brink of economic ruin. Do they see now that 'We the People' can set aside blind loyalty to a party and do what we think is best for America?
Next comes the real test for Obama...does he change course and try to govern from the center or does he try to ramrod his agenda through by any means possible? I fear he will do the latter and then that's when the real Revolution begins. He is a Progressive and they have been waiting decades for this moment to "fundamentally transform America". Beware - they will not go quietly into the night. Amnesty will be next on their agenda.
Make your voices heard and keep the momentum rolling!!! Get involved any way you can...in elections, in the schools, in the media. Let's take our country back and get back to common sense governing. Now that's change I can believe in!!!
